Caroline Allen began her Ayurveda studies with the California College of Ayurveda in 2016, and she is currently an Ayurvedic Health Counselor Intern, with plans to graduate in November 2020. In 2018, she received two certifications in healing modalities through the California College of Ayurveda in Pinda Svedhana and Marma and Pranic Healing.
Caroline is an Ayurvedic Chef by Myra Lewin at Hale Pule. She is a certified yoga teacher through YogaMultimedia, and she is certified under Dr. Marc Halpern in Yoga Nidra. Currently living in Tulum, México, Caroline has a passion for cooking and service to others, whether that being through organizing yoga retreats or educational workshops. Caroline also has a Masters in International Development and has worked with a Washington, DC-based non-profit organization, EcoVentures International, since 2012, with a focus on economic development. Caroline is the founder of Vayu Ayurveda.
Sasha Bershadsky is an Ayurvedic practitioner and the founder of Ojas Oasis Ayurveda. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2011 with a BFA in Communications Design. Sasha completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2017 from Yoga Vida in New York City. She has formally completed both her Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist academic studies at the California College of Ayurveda. Sasha is now an Ayurvedic Health Counselor Intern with the college. Sasha’s highest intention is to support the health and healing of the planet by integrating Ayurveda into modern lifestyle.
Valerie Hwang is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor Intern at the California College of Ayurveda, based in Long Beach, California. As the founder of Intrepid Ayurveda, her intention as a practitioner is to provide her clients with the tools and guidance necessary for bringing the body and mind back into a state of harmony. Harmony optimizes the body's potential to heal itself, and from a state of complete health, we are unstoppable in our potential to live our lives to the fullest.
Prior to embarking on her Ayurvedic journey, Valerie completed a B.S. in Human Development & Psychological Services as well as an M.A. in International Education, spending several years teaching in Japan and devoting her efforts towards projects that promote peaceful international exchange through artistic expression and travel. She is a certified yoga nidra instructor under the California College of Ayurveda and will be completing her Ayurvedic Health Counselor program in November this year.
Shobana Kapoor began her Ayurveda studies with the California College of Ayurveda in 2017, and she is currently an Ayurvedic Health Counselor Intern, with plans to graduate in November 2020.
Prior to embarking on her Ayurvedic journey, Shobana completed her M.S. in Computer Science as well as an M.A. in Applied Behavioral Science, spending 20 years as a Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft Corporation in Seattle. She is currently based in Boulder, Colorado.
