Neha began her Ayurvedic studies at the California College of Ayurveda. However, her inclination towards Ayurvedic practices and routines traces back to her entire life since childhood in India. Working with food, spices and herbs as home remedies for cold, cough, fever, digestive upsets, etc. was a way of life for her back at home!

She was amazed during her studies when she learnt that these common life practices have very deep Ayurvedic roots and a scientific healing base! Since then, she is on the path of conscious natural healing and is keen to bring wellness to people through holistic medicine.

Neha currently an Ayurvedic Health Counselor intern, offering Ayurvedic consultations in Sunnyvale and Los Gatos, California. She works with diet, lifestyle, herbs and Ayurvedic practices to prevent and heal diseases. She is excited to share this wisdom with the community through the Healing Your Life workshop.

Nina was drawn to becoming an advocate for holistic health after becoming a care taker for a dear friend with stage IV breast cancer. This life changing experience showed her first hand how important prevention is & not to wait until a diagnosis happens to make changes in your diet & lifestyle.

The beginning of her professional journey towards helping others live a healthier life was the creation of Nina Cucina, a business preparing nutrient rich, plant-based foods at her local co-op & farmers markets. This was a big step in the right direction but there was still a yearning to work in more of a one-on-one approach with her community. Rather than just making them a few healthy meals a week, she wanted to facilitate a deeper impact.

Graduating from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in May of 2018 as a Health Coach was the first step in building her practice. Her studies provided a deep understanding that no one single approach to diet or lifestyle is right for everyone. Determined to have the skills to know what was right for each person lead her to becoming a student of the ancient holistic medicine system of Ayurveda at The California

College of Ayurveda. This time honored wisdom connecting the mind, body & soul together with the cycles of nature felt like coming home deep in her heart.

Now as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor intern she feels fully equipped with the tools needed to identify the root cause of a symptom & nurture patients through a harmonious treatment plan to support real healing & lasting change. Ayurveda is truly a gift to the world & she is honored to pass on its wisdom to allow others to heal themselves & find true peace & harmony within their own lives.

Valentina Robertson is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor Intern at the California College of Ayurveda, an Ayurvedic Body Therapist and a student member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. Her passion for holistic healing manifested after dealing with many injuries from a long dance career, when she realized that physical symptoms are the language our body uses to reveal valuable information about us, not only physically but also mentally and spiritually. Through the study and practice of the the lessons of Paramahansa Yogananda, she started gaining a deeper understanding of the role of Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation in all levels of healing. As she discovered Ayurveda she found that many aspects of Vedic wisdom resonated with her spiritual quest, as it empowers every person with the knowledge of who they are in all levels of their existence. She then felt strongly committed to spreading the knowledge of this ancient science.

Valentina’s Dharma took form after completing the academic portion of the AHC program. Ready to serve her community and educate patients on how to utilize the tools of Ayurveda in disease prevention, she is opening an Ayurvedic practice in Oakland, California: Aflora Ayurveda.

Jackie De Nio entered the healing sciences by way of a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy. She’s celebrating twenty magical years in the medical field as an OTR.  But through those years watched her patients struggle with the lack of information to fulfill their desire to prevent further medical events and restore their health and lives. Plagued with her own health issues, and feeling the missing link in her western medical training, and her own life, was the more natural approach of holistic healing.  A life changing experience with a holistic healer in Hawaii, who guided her to naturally heal her health troubles was the catalyst to pursue her Ayurvedic training. Wanting to share the gift and give her clients this same control over their health and well being, she out set on a path to mesh the two worlds.

Years of working closely with numerous clients/patients and their families who were experiencing life altering medical events helped cultivated a deep intuition and empathy that instills a trust which facilitated greater healing. Gifts she brings to those she is blessed to work with in practice. Jackie is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor Intern practicing under the supervision and tutelage of Dr. Laksmana Das, and currently accepting clients on site at the beautiful California College of Ayurveda.

$120 I $150 with class materials

After a small yoga studio opened in my former neighborhood, I felt compelled towards it, even cancelling a family pool club/gym membership, before entering the studio. As I practiced, so many holdings in many body began to release. My eyes opened. I began to see reality in a new way. I did not identify as a person who was holding trauma, or was unwell but now I felt a different energy flow and freedom. I saw the changes in my mind.   I felt increased mental balance. After experiencing this healing I began to seek greater harmony through Ayurveda. This ancient healing wisdom of India teaches me how to understand my original nature and make the choices that create conditions for optimal healing. As we understand the physical, emotional, and spiritual makeup of a person we can optimize wellness through color, diet, touch, yogic therapy and harmonious routines. My mission is to share this wisdom as it has been generously shared with me.
